If you haven’t made a concerted effort to find out what benefits are due you because of your service to your country, start now.
There are education benefits, housing benefit, life insurance, and the biggest one VA compensation benefits.
If you are of retirement age and you have ischemic heart problems or diabetes, and if you served in Vietnam, you have benefits coming. By benefits I mean money, health insurance and a drug program.
The government has determined that if you were in Vietnam you were affected by agent orange, furthermore the government has determined that if you have ischemic heart problems (clogged arteries) or diabetes they were caused by Agent Orange.
